Rey Maualuga Arrested

Rey Maualuga Arrested ON DUI Charge

The Cincinnati Bengals Rey Maualuga was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Friday morning in Covington after he ran his 2003 Pontiac into two parking meters and other cars on the street.  The Bengals second round pick will be arraigned sometime on Friday afternoon.  He was held in jail for seven hours and then released.

This is not Rey Maualuga’s first run-in with the law.  At USC he had alcohol and violence troubles, including one altercation at a Halloween party where he punched a partygoer.  Rey Maualuga underwent alcohol and anger counseling in the wake of the incident.

The Cincinnati Bengals have not commented on the incident and will most likely reserve comment until the matter has worked through the legal system.
