Bengals outside linebacker Dhani Jones, an eighth-year veteran from Michigan, was signed as a free agent on Sept. 19 and installed as the club's special teams captain a month later.     He chats about the pigeons at Paul Brown Stadium, the honor of being one of 10 nominees by Sports Illustrated in the category of "NFL's Best Dressed" and why his Michigan Wolverines will beat Ohio State on Saturday:

Jones doesn't see a problem with the pigeons at PBS:   "I like pigeons. Every time I see a flock, I run underneath. I want to be struck by a pigeon. I told the team and different players that if you get pooped on by a pigeon, it's actually good luck. Just think about all the people that the pigeons have missed, and then all of the sudden you are the one that got pooped on. That's fantastic."

Jones joins Reggie Bush, Braylon Edwards, Dwight Freeney, Matt Leinart, Tom Brady, DeAngelo Hall, LaDainian Tomlinson, Darren Sharper and Terrell Owens as "NFL's Best Dressed" nominees by Sports Illustrated:     "It's an honor, a privilege, and I can honestly say I'm a lot better dressed than all them. I set trends and set styles. I don't follow what all the rest of the people do. I just follow the way I'm thinking at the moment, whether it be suits to punk rock to west coast to southern classic.     "My favorite outfit is a nice black suit with a bow tie. That's probably my best look. I don't do hats."

Jones had five tackles, plus a special teams tackle, in a 21-7 victory at Baltimore:  "(Six) turnovers played a big role. We had the attitude of not letting down and not letting them really get into the game, and just being physical. An attitude of consistency is the most important thing in terms of winning games. If you maintain that, then you'll be successful. You can't rest on your laurels."

Jones was a Michigan Wolverine before he was a New York Giant (2000-03):  Philadelphia Eagle (2004-06) and Bengal (2007).  "Michigan will win that game. Why? Because Ohio State hasn't had their back up against the wall the entire season. They've been on top. We've been run through the muck. So we're just going to go ahead and win this game and then go to the Rose Bowl."
