The Things You See At A Bengals Tailgate With the 2007 season gaining ground on us, we at Whodey Central wanted to thank all of our followers. We had a great time in 2006, and we wanted to share some of the most memorable moments. Let us just say this…YOU BENGALS FANS ARE CRAZY! Anyone who has not made it down to tailgate at a Bengals game yet has to pack up their car and head down. You cannot fully get the feel for what the Bengals fans are like until you see it first hand for yourself at the pre-game tailgates, as we have seen it every game first hand. We were going to create a top ten list of things we had seen at the Bengals tailgate, but ten items simply would not create a clear enough picture. Don’t kid your self, the Bengals tailgates are each different depending on which area you tailgate in. If you want a real look at what Bengals tailgating is all about, you have to go to the Longworth’s lot. No offense to the other tailgating lots. We have been to all of them, and there all great tailgates. But if you want the best bang for your tailgate buck, Longworth’s is the craziest by far. Going to Longworth’s is like going to watch the circus coming to town. It is the greatest show on earth with beer sales included. This is not to say that the other tailgates are not as good as Longworth’s, they are just different. Longworth’s is a free for all. It is an ever changing culture all its own. If you go to Longworth’s prepare to get their early and stay late, and what ever you do, BRING A CAMERA!
As most of you know. Whodey Central has photographers shooting photos at every home game. Last year we had a feeling we would see it all and we did. We saw pit bulls dressed in Bengals garb, grown men dressed as Burger Kings, Supermans, Spidermans, Batmans, Pimps, and Bengals Players. We saw men dressed as women, and women dressed as men, 25 foot high gorillas, 10,000 Chad Johnson jerseys, and enough beer to fill the stadium if the Bengals tailgaters were actually willing to dump it out, doubtful. The Whodey Central Photographers while patrolling the various tailgate areas taking photos have been offered: beer, shrimp, hamburgers, hot dogs, beer, steaks, JTM, ribs, chips, skyline, beer, brats, mets, Larosas pizza, deer meat, and did I say beer? We have had people jump on us, fall down in front of us, fall down on top of us, hit us with footballs, dance with us (especially doing the bump, still have not figured that one out?), build human pyramids for us, pose, strip, kiss us, hug us, and tackle us. We have seen people infatuated with us getting photos of their shoes, stocking, hats, wigs, robes, and other clothing items. We have seen Elvis, Jack Sparrow, Burger King, Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Wild Man, Cowboys, Cowgirls, Cheerleaders, Banditos, Tiger outfits, current Reds players, former Reds player, and former Bengals Players. Darth Vador, storm troopers, convicts, chefs, President Bush, Donald Trump, Garth Brooks, and of course the famous “Man from The Future”. We have seen people standing on top of their vehicles, people laying under them, people driving them in circles for no apparent reason. We have seen tiger outfits, cowboy hats, mowhawks, safari hats, baseball hats, Bengals tattoos, Dr. Sues Hats, knit hats, sombreros, football helmets, fire helmets, army helmets, cowboy hats, tuxedos, ties, bow ties, ruffled shirts, orange wigs, black wigs, white wigs, and wigs we were not supposed to know were wigs if you catch our drift. We have seen people dancing, eating, laughing, singing (usually not well), drinking, meditating, studying, choking, running, skipping, yelling, cheering, undressing, cooking, and having a great time. We did not see one altercation the entire season at a tailgate, not one. I guess the point is that tailgating is fun. It is an adventure, and no one does it better than Bengals fans. Week in and week out, the Whodey Central Team got to see it all. We got to meet a lot of great people, eat a lot of food, and have a great time in general. So Bengals fans take your hats off to yourselves, and get ready. The season is just around the corner, and we plan to see it all, and do it all again this year. Thanks for all the fun, we will see you soon! Whodey Central "Best Bengals Fan Site"
