Growl Zone Qick Updates

Cut down day is never easy. For a professional athlete it may mean the end of a long sought after dream. Sometimes, it is just a bump in the road. However, it is never easy to have someone tell you you're not good enough.

Remember the days when you were trying to make the elementary, junior high or high school teams and you had to wait until the coach posted the names of those who made the team? Or maybe the coach called your house? You wanted the news, but, you didn't want to answer the phone.

NFC

1. Chicago Bears- After this Sunday’s game against the Patriots, the Bears will be praying that they never make the Super Bowl ever again, or even play another AFC team ever again.
2. Carolina Panthers- Jake Delhomme is French, and the French were closer to winning World War II then Delhomme will ever be to winning a Super Bowl.
3. Seattle Seahawks- With Shaun Alexander and Matt Hasselbeck coming back, the Seahawk can stop playing jokes and go ahead and win their division.

4. Dallas Cowboys- Eli Manning’s game has more holes then O.J.’s alibi, the Cowboys can count on this division…even if Jessica Simpson dumps Tony.
5. N.Y. Giants- We’re actually going to go ahead and lose to the Titans this week, so go ahead and count us out of the playoff race.
6. Atlanta Falcons- Michael Vick plays 3 good games a season, but then again, so did Trent Dilfer and apparently he won a Super Bowl.

AFC

1. Indianapolis Colts- God, this is like voting Roosevelt for President in the Thirties.
2. San Diego Chargers- According to the Elias Sports Bureau, only one team has ever come back from 17 points down in 2 games in a row in NFL history…Also according to Elias, no team that has ever come from 17 points down 2 games in a row has ever won a Super Bowl...This obviously bodes well for the Bengals.
3. New England Patriots- I hate the Patriots, I hate Fox Sunday and I hate bad Sprite, but the Patriots still have Tom Brady and 3 high school kids, so they’ll definitely beat the Bears this weekend.
4. Baltimore Ravens- Seriously who is the more brittle QB this weekend, McNair or Roethlisberger?
5. Denver Broncos- Jake Plummer with a beard looks like the UnaBomber, I just don’t know if that is bad or good.
6. Cincinnati Bengals- Ocho Cinco is gone, Akili Smith is gone, I think this means Super Bowl Bengals…!
