Now that Willie Anderson is gone, Stacy Andrews will need to work hard to pick up the slack on the Bengals offensive line.

Written by Jeff Moore

The Cincinnati Bengals started 2008 season with a preseason win over the Green Bay Packers.  They survived the Arrron Rogers and Brett Favre conversation which was a feat in its own right.

The Bengals were missing some of their offensive fire power without Rudi Johnson and wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh not available to play in the game.  The Bengals starting offense started off slow and did not gain a first down until the second quarter.

The Bengals have not seen the field against another squad since last December.  The team struggled at times, but this is what preseason is all about.  Fixing issue is what the Bengals will be focusing on this season.  The team needs to work to get back into the playoffs after a dissapointing season in 2007.

Carson Palmer finished the game 5-for-9 for 33 yards with a touchdown.  The only touchdown came on a 14 yard throw to new tight end Ben Utecht.

Coach Lewis was quoted as saying "Offensively, we got off to a slow start, but we picked up the pace as the half went on,"

Yes Chad Johnson did play but was limited to his touches.  He had one catch for ten yards.
