Bengals Fans Split On What to Do About Chad Johnson Situation E-mail
Written by Jeff Moore Gorwlzone.com

The Cincinnati Bengals fans seem to be split on what to do about Chad Johnson.  Do Bengals fans welcome him back and make amends or treat him like an outcast as most of the other fans in the NFL would do?  Are Bengals fans completely fed up with Johnson and as Paul Daugherty put it, his spoon banging on the high chair act?   Bengals fans seem to be very frustrated with the comments and the way Chad Johnson has handled himself this off season.  Most NFL cities would have completely disowned Johnson by now, but then Cincinnati is not like most other NFL cities.

Cincinnati Bengals fans have found a way to endure things that no NFL fans in the country could have endured.  13 season of losing records.  One playoff birth in over a decade, no Super Bowl wins, loyalty clauses, Shula Ball, and yes Chad Johnson’s antics.  Is it possible that Bengals fans could also endure having Ocho No Show come back to join the team?

The answer is yes.  As much as people may disagree right now, if Chad Johnson showed up this season, and played at a pro bowl caliber performance level, Cincinnati Bengals fans would be forgiving him within the first three games and bowing to him within the first five.

This is despite all of the off season antics and the remarks Chad Johnson has made.  Cincinnati Bengals fans are not built like most of the other fans in the NFL.  The Bengals fans have seen bad days, and I mean bad days.  Bengals fans have lived through the worst, and are so desperate to see a winner that they will endure player arrest, horrible teams, bad coaching, suspensions, and yes immature pro bowl caliber wide receivers running his mouth all off season.

Chad, if you are out there, we have only one bit of advice for you.  Catch the ball!  I think Cincinnati is a very forgiving town that will gladly welcome you back if you simply make amends and bring home a winner.  If this is not something you can do, I would highly recommend that you stay away because after all of the ridiculous remarks this off-season I think you may be in for trouble if you come back here and cannot win or at least put up the numbers that support your arrogant and ridiculous request from this off season.

As a matter of fact, booing and beer baths could become a regular routine for you now that you have chosen to act the way you have this off-season.  Taking your case to the public is good if it works, and not so good if it doesn’t.  Time will only tell for Johnson.  I will say this, after all the talk, I don’t think he has the guts to sit the season out and lose a $3 million dollar paycheck.  So instead of losing the money, let’s hope he focuses on earning it this season or this could be a very long season for both Johnson and Bengals fans.
