Cincy QB Palmer believes, if things fall into place, team can go on a run, saying "there's not a team we can't beat."

It ain't over. Not in the eyes of the Cincinnati Bengals' star quarterback Carson Palmer. Not with nine games to go in the 2007 season and the Buffalo Bills on today's menu.  "As bad as this season has gone for us, we've still got a shot (at the playoffs)," Palmer said. "Looking at our schedule, there's not a team we can't beat.  "It just comes down, like I keep saying, to out-executing teams. The ball bouncing your way a couple of times. There's a number of things that factor into it, but there's no reason we can't go 11-5."

Numbers game:  Buffalo leads the series 13-11 thanks to eight straight victories, erasing what was once an 11-5 Cincinnati lead. The Bills boast an 8-3 record as the home team, including five straight wins. But the Bengals are 2-0 against Buffalo in the postseason.

Injury report:  Bengals — OT Willie Anderson (knee) and LB Ahmad Brooks (groin) are out; LB Caleb Miller (back) is doubtful; and DT John Thornton (neck), DE Justin Smith (hamstring) and S Herana-Daze Jones (shoulder) are questionable. Bills — QB Trent Edwards (wrist) and LB Leon Joe (back) are doubtful; DE Ryan Denney (foot) and CB Ashton Youboty (ankle) are questionable.

What you need to know about today's Bengals-Bills game at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y.:

Overview:  The Bengals are looking to break the Buffalo curse as the season reaches the midpoint. They haven't defeated the Bills in the regular season since Nov. 27, 1988, at Riverfront Stadium (35-21). Cincinnati also hasn't won at Buffalo since Nov. 3, 1985 (23-17). A Bengals' victory will be difficult because they're catching a hot Bills team.

Scouting the Bengals:  They've scored 80 more points than Buffalo (177-97), but have a worse record because their defense is a sieve — a unit that yields too many explosive plays and is unable to stop opponents on a consistent basis, which places too much pressure on the offense.  Tailback Rudi Johnson (hamstring) returns to the lineup and will share the load with Kenny Watson. Look for the Bengals to try and turn the game into a track meet with quarterback Carson Palmer running the no-huddle and playing pitch-and-catch with Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

The Bengals head to Buffalo this week in dire need of a win. I put all of my eggs in one basket last week and said that if the Bengals lost, the season was over, well, I lied. The season is not over, 11-5 is still possible. I am so confident that the Bengals are going to turn it around that I am going to fill out my playoff ticket form when I am through with this column.
If you’re interested in learning whose going to win this year’s Super Bowl, tune your television to CBS at approximately 4:15 Sunday, plan to sit down for three hours. After those three hours, the NFL can cancel the final eight weeks of the season and we can crown either the Patriots or Colts NFL champions. Better yet, we can crown them champions and then start every team at 0-0 for the final eight weeks. I think the Bengals would like that idea. Alright, enough of my tomfoolery, lets get to the rankings.

1. Dallas Cowboys- On Sunday night, the Cowboys will be playing in their fourth primetime game of the nine week old season. Someone in the NFL scheduling office must be a big Cowboys fan or maybe they just have a crush on Tony Romo. Either way, I’ll take Dallas over the Eagles 27-21.
